Horringer is producing a Neighbourhood Plan

This powerful document will examine multiple issues about the village and help shape its future. By law, it must be taken into consideration by local authority planners and developers, which means this is a real chance for residents to influence policies affecting them.

We welcome any comments or questions.  In addition, If you would like to consider contributing, please email:-  admin@horringer-pc.gov.uk

The Neighbourhood Plan

Update for Autumn 2023

The Horringer Neighbourhood Plan is well and truly underway with the formation of the committee during the summer; and a successful funding bid which saw us receive £1,800 to support our efforts, thanks to an amazing turnaround of a complicated bid, by Janice Frost.

A few days later nearly 2,000 people connected with the post, which trumpeted this good news. Former Mayor of Bury St Edmunds, Terry Clements, was one of many who reacted in support of the news, when he said, ‘So glad that the Horringer Neighbourhood Plan Group has formed. Everyone needs to make their voice heard, otherwise it will be done unto you. Great village keep it that way’.

As a group we are finalising plans for the first major consultation, which will take place on the evening of Tuesday 16th January 2024, with final details to be confirmed. There will also be other chances to contribute through daytime sessions so that everyone gets the opportunity to contribute.
On a practical level we will be delivering flyers through your letterbox in January. The aim of these will be to inform you of consultation dates and venues as well as suggestions for topics which we would like your responses to.

If you have any questions always feel free to contact your local Parish Councillor who will pass on the details; more or simply contact me directly at horringerpodcast@gmail.com
